G&K Development was recently awarded its 14th modular lab for the petroleum pipeline industry, which will be built in Cushing, Oklahoma. G&K has built these labs with their partner TEL Solutions in eight states across the U.S. as well as Canada.
“Incorporating modular design concepts to laboratory building construction has enabled our team to offer off-site fabrication with on-site reassembly and final project commissioning to clients across the U.S. and Canada,” said G&K Managing Partner, Nick Georgiou. “Our headquarters in the upper Midwest allows us easy access and central shipping across North America,” Georgiou explained. “We save our clients a great deal of time and money by fabricating these labs off-site, shipping them and reassembling them in place at various pipeline terminals.”
What do these modular labs do, you may ask? In the petroleum industry, the delivery provider must provide proof of the quality and types of liquids being sent through pipelines to their customers. “These modular labs are basically checkpoints that test and verify the quality of the product and report back to the customer,” Georgiou stated.
“We offer a turnkey solution for our clients that allows them one source for all of their needs, from permitting to final commissioning,” Georgiou reported. “This way they have the peace of mind that their labs are being designed, built and turned over to them fully commissioned and ready to use,” he added.
“G&K has built a reputation for delivering quality, reliable turnkey laboratory facilities over the past decade,” Georgiou stated. “We work with our clients to evaluate their needs in order to produce designs and building solutions that best fit their requirements,” he said.
